Christmas 2010

December 25th, 2010

Christmas is sure fun with 4 young, excited kids. Some of Dan's and my family came to watch just to be entertained by all the excitement. This was Tyse's 1st Christmas as you can tell by the look of-what is going on here!!! He actually was opening presents or at least ripping the paper and eating it. What a fun morning.

Every year we go to Dan's parents place and have breakfast and watch all the cousins open presents from each other.

Grandma loves to make each of the grandkids PJ's every Christmas. Our kids are always so excited to try them on.

Dax's new PJ's from Grandma.

Christmas Eve 2010

December 24th, 2010
We love our family Christmas traditions especially the dinner my mom puts on for Christmas Eve each year. She always seems to outdo herself every year even when it seems impossible.

What would a Christmas dinner be without the olives!

Tyse could entertain himself for hours. Why is it babies like the simple things like measuring cups and not the expensive colorful toys you buy them? Lol...Oh well, whatever makes them happy.

We like to put on a nativity program every year. We had 2 Mary's and 2 Joseph's this year.

Tyse was our Shepard!

Grandma and Grandpa like to give the kids their presents from them on Christmas Eve. They sure got lots of fun things.

I had to include this picture because Mike decided to wrap my present a million times. I guess it is all the payback from all the times I did this to everyone, except I was meaner and used duck tape to wrap mine. This gift ended up being a gift card. Ha ha Mike-you got me!

Gingerbread House

December 2010
We all had fun decorating this gingerbread house. The only problem was more candy was going in their mouths than on the actual house. Oh well. We didn't leave it nice very long. Right after decorating it, we ate it-yum!

Tyse's Sealing

December 11th, 2010
What an amazing day it was to be sealed together forever as a family. The kids were so great and Tyse was happy and content. All of Dan's family and mine were there including my Grandma Shumway. It was such a great experience. At the end of the ceremony we stood together as a family while everyone came and congratulated us. Tyse was so happy to see everyone...almost like he knew he was in the right place. What a special day for us and one we will never forget.

Tyse's Blessing

December 12th 2010
What a great day to be with family and celebrate our cute little Tyse coming into our family. It was another special day for Tyse. Dan gave him a blessing and did a really great job. Afterwords, all our family came over to our house and had some yummy brunch to celebrate.
We love you Tyse and are so glad you are in our family!!!

All tuckered out!

Slaying...I mean playing with dragons!

December 10th 2010
We had a 'How to Train your Dragon' party for Davin and had so much fun. I can't believe he is already 7 years old. Davin wanted to invite every friend he had and so I left it open for him to decide. He invited 16 boys over to our house. It was crazy, but they all had a blast! The boys colored scary dragon pictures, played pop the dragon tail, got splashed with dragon spit (water), slayed a dragon (pinata), and had dragon cake , ice cream with dragon poop (mint with chocolate brownies), and drank dragon blood with dragon teeth. (red soda with ice). Luckily, they were all ok after eating all of that...lol.

Hiccup even came to the party to help the kids "slay the dragon."

Look at all those faces!
