A little blurb on Tyse!

Summer 2011

This little guy is growing up so fast. He is all over the place and if I am not careful he is even getting smart enough to escape the house. I think he knows that if he follows the other kids around they will eventually go outside and leave the door open, so he stays close behind them. He loves splashing in toilets, eating off the floor, playing drums with my glass bowls, 'reorganizing' all my cupboards, throwing food off his highchair tray, and the list just keeps going on. He is so happy all the time and is able to brighten anybody's day just by looking at him. He loves to dance by twisting one arm and bobbing up and down. One of his other talents is being heard over anything else going on by... growling. It doesn't matter where we are. He just likes to be heard.

This is his favorite toy-we call it his walker. He goes everywhere and when he sees it from a distance he gets so excited and yes you guessed it he growls. He is super fast at holding on to it and pushing it all over. When he can't find it, no problem, he will find a substitute until it turns up again. He pushes laundry baskets, chairs, boxes...you name it he has probably used it to get around. Tyse is taking lots of steps on his own but just loves pushing things around for balance.

We are the luckiest parents alive to have such a bubbly and adorable little person around!

It is a very rare occasion that we can wear our little guy out, so I had to capture this moment. Such a busy body and so fun to have around. Love ya Dax.

Wheelin' and Boardin'

One of our favorite things to do when we are staying at the cabin is to 4-wheel up the canyon and then hike up to Bloomington Lake. We took Dax with us while the other kids played with the other cousins back at the cabin. He loves the 4-wheelers and would never miss out on going with us. It is so beautiful up there and we love to escape to spend time together. Dan's sister and family went with us too.

Of course Dan and I had to hit the lake before we went home.

Katelyn's 6th Birthday!

Dan and I took our kids out to celebrate Kate's birthday. She chose Red Robin, our tradition, to eat out at. The kids love getting the mac n cheese there. It was fun to all be together. I can't believe how big she is getting. She has been taking gymnastics this summer and is doing really well. She is always so happy and is very loving. She loves helping mom take care of her younger brothers and look up to her older brother Davin too.

Kate had a friend birthday party this year. It was a 'Tangled' pajama-late night party. The girls made journal books, played games, watched Tangled, had cake and ice cream, and even had a firework show at the end. This was the girls favorite thing. They got to do sparklers too.

Fun Times at Bear Lake

Repelling at the Ice Caves was a big rush and a lot of fun. We 4-wheeled up the canyon and then played in the caves for a while.

Dax is so tough. He was running through the caves and fell on his face...poor guy.

This sand castle masterpiece was definitely a group effort. We love playing with the cousins on the beach.

Every year it just keeps getting more fun. The kids are getting older and more daring to do bigger things. Kate and Davin both went down the waterslides. Dan and I even took Dav, Kate, and Dax down the river. They are pretty rapid, but the kids were brave and had a good time. Swimming with all our cousins is our favorite.

My nieces love doing tricks off the platforms and diving boards so I had to add some of the cool pictures I took of them.

Kate's 1st time down the big water slide. It took some bribing, but she did it and came out with a big smile on her face. Good Job Kate!

All the cousins did fun crafts. The girls made cute bracelets.

Good times with our friends!

We invited our friends up to the cabin for the weekend. They brought their boat and it was awesome weather so you can only guess how much fun we had. The kids loved having their friends to play with. They all tried the ski. Daxton of course wanted to go faster than any of the kids. Dan went slower than Daxton wanted him to. He kept yelling at us from the water... "Faster."
We played on the beach and had a good time back at the cabin too. It's definitely going to have to be a repeat for next year. We love our friends!!!
