Makin' a Splash

Downata Hot Springs
We made our annual trip up north for a family reunion-my dad's side of the family. It was great seeing my grandparents who are still kickin' it. They are such admirable people and I am so glad my kids have them to look up to. We had lunch with the family and then hit the slides and pool.

Tyson loved it. The water was like a warm bath.

We all rode the slides this year except Tyse of course who played in the baby splash area. We tried to see who could get the best splash at the end. I think Dad won that one by a long shot, but Kate got the award for always ending up backwards. Davin was the loudest and Dax was the craziest. We are always so glad for the next summer when we can do it all over again.

Summer Kick-off

Hogle Zoo
To kick-off the summer the first week of June me and Dan's mom took my kids and 3 of their cousins to the zoo. It was nice and cool and so much fun. The bird show was all of our favorites. The kids loved having the big birds swoop down by their heads and laughed when the birds would say funny things or do tricks. The kids loved the train and the carousel too. Tyse especially loved going up and down on the carousel and giggled the whole time. The baby elephant Suri put on a show by playing in the mud and there were also dinosaurs all over the zoo. Tyse was wide-eyed checking out all the animals. It was his first time there. It was a great way to start the summer. We loved it!

Lil' Flippers

Daxton's Debut
This is Daxton's cup of tea! Everything they wanted him to do he had to one up it every time. He made us all laugh. If he was supposed to go forward he would go backward. If a teacher offered a hand to help he would go faster to show them he could do it by himself. Dax has taken "nastix" (how he pronounced it) once a week since the beginning of the year. It was his thing he got to go do. He loved it so much and still shows off the tricks he learned there.

Pretty lil' fairy

Kate's dance recital
Kate was such a performer. She smiled and knew all the steps. It was so fun going and watching her for the 1st time. She is such a gorgeous little girl and we are so glad she is a part of our family.

Happy 1st Birthday Tyse!!!

Aaarrrrggh Pirates!
I can't believe Tyse is already one. The year has really flown by. He is such a fun little guy to have around. Everyone flocks to him and he always has a smile for them. We had a really fun party in our backyard with both sides of the family. We had a treasure hunt and a pirate ship pinata. We had yummy pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream. Tyse loved all his fun toys and had a lot of help opening them.

Dan and I gave him this car. He loves being pushed around. Soon we won't be able to keep up with him.

End of School Programs

May 2011
I look up to the people who come up with those cute end of year school programs. Davin and Katelyn are still at the age of non-embarrassment and will belt out every song and do all the actions. It is so great! Both sets of grandparents came to watch too. They are always so supportive with all of our kids things. Davin will be in 2nd grade and Kate will be in 1st grade in the fall.

Lovin' those Sports

Spring 2011

Life was busy in April, May, and June because Davin was playing baseball and soccer both twice a week and Katelyn was playing soccer once a week too. It was really fun going and watching them. They really improved over the season. Dan helped coach Davin and I helped coach Kate in soccer.

Daxton and his best friend Gavin always find new ways to entertain themselves during each game. They found little post it notes at this game and stuck them all over their bodies....such entertainers!!!
